Newcomer / Intro Loving the Game so Far

Hey Everyone,

Just wanted to make a first appearance and just state that I believe the game is great (Elite Dangerous) and that I am REALLY looking forward to the Power Play update this month as well as the expansions that are planned.

I believe now is one of the better times to get into the game. There are plenty of things to do, but not so much that you are overloaded. But the best part is that, even though we've started somewhat late in the cycle, there is still plenty of opportunity for us to help influence the game.

Welcome to the Galaxy Commander. There is a lot to do - and a lot that can get tedious - but overall it is a very fun game.

I'm also looking forward to the changes in PowerPlay. My plan is to support whoever is the dominant power in my home station. No matter how bad they are. Should make for interesting rp.

I have to agree. When I was a kid I put A LOT of time into games like TES: Morrowind and Oblivion and even Skyrim as an adult. Those games held a lot of mystery, opportunity for adventure and observation. This game has given me that sense, much like those games did. To me, that is invaluable being that the reason I play games is for the sense of escapism. The best thing is: This is just the tip of the iceburg and it, for me at least, is already an outstanding experience. Not just another game to tide me over...

I was motivated enough to write a review on Steam. Something I don't do very often. Being that I am still playing my opinion is still dynamic. There are things that urk me that I wish could be fixed, but for me the postive experiences in the game drastically out weigh any negativity I have toward the title.
