Loving the new AI fighting capabilities.

My 233M Python just got torn a new one by a wing of 3 NPC's (A Vulture & 2 Vipers).
They were all over me like a rash. I did get the Vulture (who was doing most of the damage) eventually, but by then I was down to 38% hull and several modules were "offline".

I tried both of the permutations of my turreted weapons (Target Only and Fire At Will) but I think they are a bit "bugged" because they flip between behaviours.

Anyway, it was fun and the damage repair cost (435K) was offset by the 237K in bounty and the sheer fun. I also went 1% more towards my next Combat rank (Deadly).

Getting the remainder of the "loss" back is only half of a single trading run, so I'm not unhappy.
 
Yeah, NPC wings do add spice to life, don't they?

Last one I ran into was a Clipper backed up by a Viper and a Vulture. I made two mistakes during that fight: The first one was I chose to fight at all, being in an Asp that wasn't fitted for heavy combat. The second was focusing on the Clipper to start with, which let the two dedicated fighters chip away at me while my weak weapons uselessly tried to chew away at its strong hull. Next time, splat the Viper quickly first to reduce the amount of heat coming my way, then make tracks and draw the fast Clipper away from the slow Vulture.

I love that you actually have to make tactical decisions now, and can't just take every fight that comes your way even if you're in a weak-ish ship.
