, Low and High Intensity, Rammers

This game is making me mad,
so I've heard that in Sorbago there is war. I went here to see battle ships and try to gain some money. First day pretty good, no death, some kills, okey I was happy. Second day I've tried it in open play, not for long, becouse the amount of kill-stealing from CMDRs it amazing. I saw at least one waiting for ship beiing below 5% and then gun and blaze him and grab money, my money. So I will never ever play open play when idiots are around, I mean players. But third day was shocking for me, I was hunting Viper in my Cobra, when from nowhere rammed to death by friendly NPC. I paid 50,000cr and tried again, same day, one hour later again, rammed to death by NPC from side. So I thought that in low intensity conflict zones it will be better. But there is same amount of ships as in high intensity and capital ship zones. And of course rammed to death again, by frienldy NPC boosting into me from top. I had enough, today, I tried it again, after killing 5 ships you know what, yes, I was rammed by NPC. I wll not waste time with Conflict Zones becouse I'm just loosing money from fu... AIs.
BTW: I have never been rammed from front, becouse I see into front, but I cannot check my sides, back, top and bottom

.
So my wishes:
- Make difference between High and Low ontensity zones in number of ships in area
- Do something to AI, I have never been rammed from front, but I cannot check my 6, sides, top and below
- Make diffent rewards for killing different ships (such as Eagle - 2000cr, Cobra and Viper - 3000cr, ASP - 4000cr etc.)
- Give money for assists (f.e. give 50% of credits to guy who damaged ship by 25%)

I have run around 20 combat missions at high intensity war zones and never been rammed. It has happened previously, and sometimes it just works out that way (I've had a couple of close calls with Pythons turning into my flightpath at high speed and close range). Also, going head to head with a target is a bad idea, ideally shift off to the side of them, kick off the flight assist and just keep your nose trained on them as you merge. Vertical and lateral thrusters will give you separation.

There isn't a lot you can do if someone side swipes you though, and you'll have to exercise your judgement before jumping into the middle of a cluster of ships.

It does pay to keep an eye on your radar. specially with regards to player ramming you are just as responsable for it as the other guy. Less with NPC ramming. PLus ramming damage is already significantly lower than it used to be. Mind you I'm not saying it is your own fault, but your inexperience is probably part of the cause of your woes.

but as Tono Kopec said: are you taking care of your shields?

as for your wishes, I can only wholeheartedly agree to points 1,3 and 4. there doesn't appear to be much difference between low & high intensity and killing bigger ships should pay more. Why would I waste ammo on a python when the net profit for an eagle is bigger and the risk is lower?
As for your second wish: they should do something about the AI: make them harder to fight cause right now AI are pushovers.

After getting burned like that a few times, my Cobra is more than 200k to replace, I tend to avoid the conflict zones. If I do decide to go in, I grab the stragglers at the edges and avoid the central cluster. I also like to pick out anacondas as their drives are easily sniped and will send them into a spin away from the main battle.

Collisions are going to happen...it is a good idea to keep at least a couple PIPs in shields when in close quarters.

The bigger NPC ships are a bit rammy in those conflict zones, but honestly it's a giant chaotic space battle. In my opinion it's working just as it should.

You gotta be constantly watching your radar and looking around in the conflict zones. If you're just looking straight ahead at the one ship you're chasing it's no wonder you're getting crashed into.

Yup, I give up fighting in these zones. The risk is not equal to earnings.
Btw, I have best power distributor for Cobra, and standard shield. And I have only 1 to 1,5 ticks in shields, becouse I'm using second beam laser.
Anyway, Thanks guys

Totally agree with the rewards for ship kills. No point in burning ammo on an anaconda for 3K when I can chase down an eagle for the same amount of cash
