A personal observation, community input welcome because maybe I'm not taking the right approach to the conflict zone. I started the Jera low conflict zones with an eagle. I found that fighting anything greater in size than an eagle was next to near impossible to bring down shields, let alone work down armor. I got myself into a viper, loaded it down. Eagles go down pretty good. Vipers, Cobras are just absolutely excruciating. I like using ammos and I am lucky to make much money at all from the bounties. I also find it odd that in a low conflict zone that there are barely any light fighters, and there are more anacondas and pythons, that I have absolutely no interesting in working down, especially when the allied fighters are so poor that they can;t even get shields down on the enemy in most cases.
Secondly, I don't mind the grind on the shields of the vipers and cobras so much, even at the expense of my ammo, but what is really frustrating is that the ship behavior gets super annoying when you start working down the shields. Both the vipers and the cobras will do orbiting maneuvers around me even in my sweet spot on the thrusters... so, I end up having to thrust straight out, and then make a pass back around. So then, they either decide to run out of range, or make a pass right back on me and orbit maneuver again. Any combination/behavior they choose, they normally get themselves at least one or two shield restorations, and when they come up they are at full power.
This is very perplexing, and a bit frustrating. I just wonder if anyone else is experiencing / feeling similar about the combat zones at the moment. I'm certainly open to other suggestions to making the conflict zone an easier go than what it is.
