Honestly no he has a point.Assuming we're asking for or wanting 8 more giraffes is a quite a different thing than what's going on, in which case if someone even wants another giraffe , they would mostly like only one more. That's me for instance. Yeah, I'd like a second giraffe, it's an iconic animal in terms of recognition, popularity and presence in zoos. Having a second would give us a choice and variety of more than just one species, which is really no choice at all. I have no interest in having a third giraffe though.
Core takeaway here, overdramatizing the numbers to an extreme misses the entire point of a thread like this.
Anyways, gonna do what here what i did before; if you reply I won't see it. Enjoy your day![]()
You have a point and you're right, they do as well. Though I think the extremeness of the examples had some overdramatization about it.Honestly no he has a point.
Sure 1 giraffe is fine, but any more really eh i wouldnt want it.
8 more antelopes? Not the most exciting, but defenetly doable. A line up of common eland, greater kudu, sitatunga, dhamas gazelle, black buck, nilgai, addax and impala wouldnt be the most exciting thing on the planet, but most if not all of them could comfortably fill a pack if some filler is needed.
8 copy primates? (tufted capuchin, squirrel monkey, drill, rhesus macaque, sulawesi crested macaque, black lemure, crowned lemure, mongoose lemure)

8 ducks? (mallard, mandarin, wood, eider, white faced whistling, ruddy shell duck, white cheeked pintail, australian wood)

8 goats? (Himalayan Thar, Chamois, Rocky Mountain Goat, Moufflon, Barbary Sheep, African Dwarf Goat, Markhor, Girgentana (italian breed thats endangerd)

8 Pheasents? (ring necked, gold, silver, himalayan monal, edwards, satyr targopan, lady amethyst, blue eared pheasent)

I think this does proof the point of what the best clones would be quite well
To be fair, New World monkeys are so critically underrepresented in the game anyways that even if they are "low effort" clones" they'd still be welcome by most players. We've gotten one New World primate and that was over three years ago.I really hope we get a monkey clone for this years anniversary.
I think the barbary macaque would be a pretty easy thing to pull of and would be welcomed by many.
If they wanna be more generous i could maybe even see a squirrel monkey based of the capuchin, that would be a banger
Yeah a little blue penguin or rockhopper would be nice as anniversary as well.A penguin might be a good animal to have as a free gift. There are a few common zoo species we still don't have (Gentoo, Humboldt, Marconi, Chinstrap, etc.), but there isn't an obvious pack for one of them to fit in.
As has been talked about before, this is a great pack idea that could release after this year/mid next year, if Frontier wanted to give extend PZ's life. 3 or 5 more "normal" packs such as we've been getting with 1-2 clone type of animals, and then after that go into a variety pack. Lower effort = lower investment for Frontier, and they could look at the pricing too, possibly.Yeah a little blue penguin or rockhopper would be nice as anniversary as well.
The squirrel monkey as well.
So far i can think of some animals i can see as anniversary gift that i would like
1. Greater rhea
2. Black rhinoceros
3. Dromedary camel
4. Nile crocodile
5. African spurred tortoise
6. Blackbuck
7. Impala
8. Greater kudu
9. Golden pheasant
10. Squirrel monkey
11. Little blue penguin
12. Rockhopper penguin
13. Grey crowned crane
14. Big horned sheep
15. Perentie
16. American flamingo
17. Masai giraffe
18. Grevy's zebra
19. Addax
20. African leopard
Most of these animals are not very high profile (not as wanted, not very high in the meta wishlists, or animals people wouldn't pay for) but still iconic, or their place in current DLCs have been currently taken or they are cool in their own right but would take a slot in a future DLC for a more unique animal and all of them are fairly easy to make from pre existing rigs. Some require a bit more model work. And of course some like the dromedary, the blackbuck, the crane, the pheasant, rhea or perentie could still be part of up coming New DLC and people would be happy with them but are still clone-ish material.
Only if it is a fitting birdWhat do you guys think about getting something for the Walkthrough exhibit?
Actually I'd prefer a Green Tree Python myself, since it would be the 1st Python and not a 3rd Boa, but being more Unique, I wanted to save the Python Slot for a Future Gift or Paid DLC. Basically I excluded the more Popular Type Groups (on the Exhibit Meta-Wishlist), that don't have any Representation in the game yet, out of my suggestions. Things like Cobras, Chameleons, Geckos, Pythons, etc, which are at the very top of the List, as well as some Mid-Tiers like Vipers, Mambas, Beardies, etc. If a Mid-Tier Type Group has dissolved because it already has representation in the game, like Green Anaconda, it is Free Game.Eventhough im not a big fan of the exhibits, i actually really like the idear of another snake.
My personal favorite choice would be the green tree python, not only more common in EAZA zoos then the similar looking emerald tree boa (157 vs 37 holdings) the real deal here is its range.
While the emerald tree boa would be another south american snake, the green tree phyton is from northern australia, new guinea and oceanian part of indonesia, a region severly underrepresented in exhibit species. We only got 1 the cockroach from tropical oceania which really is a shame.
They also got the perk of being a common pet with many different color variations breeded into them. Below you can see the natural color as c, but also the rather impressive red, yellow and black turcoise variants.
I dont expect them to make a pack (and frankly kind of dont want them to) as i hope the WE streak continues, but they certantly would be a nice and well rounded addition to our exhibit roster as a free gift.

I usually don't include "Super Clones" in my Future Anniversary Gift ideas, but since this is a Retrospective Bonus Gift, which likely will never happen, I thought "Super Clones" would be more likely than more "Unique" Clones. Can keep and want to block from getting into my game: Just-Another-Giraffe/Leopard/Wolf/Lion/Elephant/Wisent/Zebra/Flamingo and especially Just-Another-Brown Bear, modders create better "presents" in a day than these extreme clones, so keep them, I don't want them, even for free.
I'm really liking some of these more recent Ideas. As time passes by we are getting some really good ones. Apart from the obvious "Super Clones" in the form of different Subspecies or Subpopulations of animals already in the game, different but very similar Species are also welcome and perhaps even more Valuable in terms of Brainstorming. This Subcategory probably would pass both as a Future and Retrospective Gift. While i dont agree with the general statement, i very much agree with this.
This game is wonderfull and the thing that all additional content should strive for is to add new possibilitys, but while everything adds a choice not every choice is created equal.
For example the black and white ruffed lemure, while "just" a different collored ruffed lemure still enhanced our lemure and madagascar variety by half.
Meanwhile the gerenuk for example would "just" be our 11 african antelope, enhancing our variety in that field by 10%.
Ofcourse this does not factor in sentimental attatchement to the species, but simple math quite nicely visualises the contrast between the new possibilitys two additions make, even if one is objectivly more unique then the other.
I am a okay with clones, but id like to see them where they matter.
I dont need a third brownbear with the only visual difference being that its a higher quality moddel, meanwhile literally any primate but especally monkey clone will still be welcomed even if it is the same workload, maybe even less.
You see this guy? This is a tufted capuchin, literally a brown and black capuchin with a funny hair do, literal pallete swap.

Id pay good money and be very excited to see them in the game.
Why? Cause our whitefaced capuchin is the only south american primate in the game currently and im dieing for more.
So really when it comes to clones, i dont care that they are "clones" especally as each clone has lots of love and care put into it, i care that its the right clone and the right clone simply is something that brings the most variety, the most possibilitys while still looking different in atleast color.
Thats what i would like to see pushed more instead of more lions, tigers, brownbears and wolfs
