Low Frame Shift Wake - Unable to drop - Keeps overshooting

Hi guys,

My friend got interdicted (and sadly killed :() by a CMDR this evening. I repeatedly tried to drop on her FSD wake and it refused to let me drop, even though I had the wake selected in my targeting computer and was in the blue throttle zone. It just kept overshooting the wake. Has this happened to anyone else? I'm trying to figure out if it's something I missed or if I need to ticket it.

I mentioned this on another thread. Sounds like you tried to jump into your friends wake... you can't do that if they've been interdicted because they are actually pulled into their attacker's wake. If you had selected her attacker's wake it would have worked.

Low fsd wakes you have to approach very slowly, blue throttle trick doesn't work. Takes a bit of practice to get to them quickly, train on wakes you see in supercruise.

I've raised a ticket as the throttle sensitivity while trying to do this is crazy, move it up a couple of mm and you're at +1C speeds and overshoot, below that you're crawling into the wake, but it can be done!!

In supercruise it's not throttle you are adjusting, you are setting your time-to-target. the throttle is automated based on what you've set. It has to be like this because of the speed scaling that is going on to cover the extreme distances. Dropping into a wake is no different than dropping into anything else. it's not more sensitive, there is just less visual feedback so it seems that way. why they don't have the distance and time to target over the reticle like they do for stations is a mystery.
