lower priced items should be half a ton, there is literally no reason to trade them

Just envision a world of NPC Lakons that don't have to bother paying for fuel and maintenance tirelessly keeping the galaxy supplied with algae and biowaste. Someone is taking those millions of tons of garbage to 10 billion person high tech planets, and it ain't us.

What is the point in trading items worth barely anything? Even when you are relatively new you are better off just buying small amounts of high priced items for bigger profit. An easy way to fix this is lower the space required for small priced items. If an item is in the 0-200 CR range it should be 1/4 ton, 200-500 range, 1/3 a ton, 500-1500 1/2 a ton and anything bigger a full ton. This will allow even small items to be taken into consideration during trading.

What they should have done (IMO) is made high value items have a minimum order quantity.
This could add value to the larger ships, since they are capable of hauling 'pallet' loads rather than individual containers and depending on the quantities used, it could also mean the smaller items are used to fill the cargo bay.

e.g.
Ship: 100t cargo space.
40t pallets of gold * 2
20t of random stuff

Either that, or people would just forget the 20t and complain that they can't carry 100t of gold lol. Even so, I would have preferred it if it was that way.
