I really enjoy using SLFs. In combat zones it drives me nuts that the majority of new spawns target my fighter. In the civil war CZ I was participating I'd killed several hundred of their ships with my fully engineered corvette. Taken down a dozen enemy corvettes. Yet I often launch a fighter to have him blown to bits before dropping a single target. I don't get it. If he's in follow mode or defense the SLF seems to be the priority target for everyone. New spawns seem to make a direct line for the little guy even when I'm moving out of combat towards a new target.
I'd request NPCs leave the SLF alone until it engages, lower the priority somehow. Perhaps a Combat Zone notoriety. If my ship is committing genocide and killed hundreds of your people you should probably have me as the priority.
