I'm very frustrating, I went mining yesterday, and spots 3 and only have almost nothing diamond, which is worth doing help me!

Yes indeed. FDev got the nerf stick out from the cupboard under the stairs and waved it around in a very vigorous fashion. Even the LTD3 spots weren't spared and darkness fell across the land.

As Northpin says, painite is still good.

And don't get me started on cores.

If you mean laser rather than scraping then yes you can do both.

Laser mined in Metallic rings (in metal rich you will find only cores, but they're not really worth it - except for entertaining value)

Use miner's tool, find yourself a nice double overlap (Hyades Sector DB-X d1-112, planet 2, ring A is still good) and start digging

I am in GCRV 1568 and there is both deep core and laser mining opportunities. Different rings.

That's my current go-to for painite. The system is infested with carriers though so presumably the painite will be exhausted at some point.

Nah. Laser-mine-able asteroids are per player (assuming you're in Solo) and refresh every 2 hours, unlike cores that are shared across modes and take 2 weeks to return.
