Yeah LTD's are still one of the main money making ways, but after the Fleet Carrier Update all Hotspots change to add Tritium Hotspots in game. So unfortunately there is no more Triple Hotspot at Borann atm.
All the hotspots are there, the resources have changed. There is a fleet of explorers looking into new locations at the minute, liasing with the mining tool. Might take a while.
Some people are saying that trading tritium is very lucrative atm. They are reporting being able to buy as low as 5K and selling as high as 70-80 K. Wont get as much as LTD mining but it sounds like it's worth a shot.

Feel free to help the /r EliteMiners folks over on reddit with the search. There are a lot of systems or there with Pristine Icy rings around them to get scanned or reinvestigated.
You can still get 600k plus for painite. Most of those seem unchanged

I've started trading nanomedicines as well. Made a few million so far on small loads.
