Is there a story behind the system of LTT 15493? It reads as unpopulated, but has low security, is aligned to the Federation and has an industrial economy. It also has the named gas giant of Sundancer and earth-like world called Jarek's Folly.
A quick google search doesn't seem to come up with anything, but the Children of Raxxla System Description Database entry is interesting....

I can't take the credit for the spot as someone asked about the system in either the stream of Selezen or Malic on Twitch (I can't recall which in particular), however there didn't appear to be an answer.
I didn't undertake a proper exploration of the landable planets (2 metal-rich and 1 rocky body), but I had a quick look at Jarek's Folly and there appeared to be no lights on the dark side of the earth-like world. I may have to go back there with a more appropriate ship.

After a quick re-visit to LTT 15493 and the first metal-rich body there certainly are points of interest and the usual errant System Defence Force ship. The low lighting created plenty of shadows, so it wasn't easy to spot things, however I did find this redundant industrial unit with a number of skimmers and one stinger protecting some canisters (nothing unusual).

The answers are in the book "Tales from the Frontier", I just started reading the short story about this system. Very interesting
That book was recommended to me in another thread, so I may have to purchase it next.
There didn't appear to be any special points of interest during my surface exploration, but maybe I just didn't look in the right places. I find that the draw distance on the Xbox One makes things particularly hard to spot from any distance even on the light side of the planet.
