LV 426 (Zeta Reticuli)

LV-426 (Acheron) is a satellite orbiting the ringed planet Calpamos in the binary star system Zeta Reticuli, 37 light-years from Sol.

As Zeta Reticuli is really in the milky way do you think we will actually be able to fly to LV 426 - would be cool. Hopefully the devs may have a few treats in store for those who make it.

I have my fingers crossed that there will be some kind of easter egg there. Be kind of cool to see other random film references floating around in the galaxy.

Oh yea?! Because its from that movie 'ALIEN" directed by Ridley Scott in 1979

Having said that, they should portray as realistically as possible based on current science. We cant have them putting in movie references (Law suit anyone?!?) that will break IMMERSION for many many loyal backers.

Zeta Reticuli, a binary star system 39ly from Earth southern hemisphere. Zeta 2 is the alleged home in popular fiction of the Greys, the Chigs from Space Above and beyond and the Xenomorphs from the Alien movies on planetoid LV426 along with the Engineer outpost on planetoid LV223 in Prometheus.

Its listed in the game as Zeta-1 Reticuli enter HIP 15371 into nav bar (as a binary with Zeta 2) around 85ly from Eranin.

I went there last night and found a binary pair Zeta 1 Reticuli A and Zeta 1 Reticuli B.

on a shared orbit between them was 1 planetoid.

Could not find Zeta 2, and afaik both are single stars, so i'm wondering if they are just labelled incorrectly. Be nice if i'd had an advanced scanner to do the whole system.

Galaxy map didn't show Zeta 2 as a seperate system close by (i think it used to)

[edit: having looked again further down the line the binary pair are now Zeta 1 Reticuli and Zeta 2 Reticuli which makes more sense :)]

Fairly certain that nobody is going to get sued because of a movie reference easter egg. Or worry too much about it breaking 'immersion'But thanks for the link. I'm sure someone will find it handy.

People, eggs are not supposed to act like hats. Do not put your heads into them, no matter how fashionable it might seem at the time.
