Jumped into a system at about 22,000 LY from Sol or so tonight. Pretty standard Binary (Actually, there was a third K class star about 3600 LY away), lovely view to be had, right?
WRONG!
That's the primary star for this system. I dropped in with the Neutron Star in front of me, -through- the M class behind me, immediately started fuel scooping and ran my heat to 80% in the first second. I narrowly avoided my instinct of running the throttle to 100%, banked hard left and avoided the Neutron Star (evil beast), and then had to pull up and away from the second M class star in the shot.
So be warned, the Galaxy is out to get you. Neutron Stars are working with others now, and they have your canopy on the menu.
Time for a break for me, my kids think old Dad has gone entirely mad from space isolation and muttering about Neutron Stars around every corner... just waiting...
