It's completely negated though in The Lost World movie, the novels, and given how lysine works IRL. I think that the point of lysine in the original novel and film is to show how incompetent Hammond's employees are, not how well that they planned for contingencies.
Why would it? The Lost World already explained that the animals got lysine in their diet elsewhere.
Ahh yes, I completely forgot about that...
