M2-9 (Twin Jet Nebula)

Yes, but that is other object. Butterfly Nebula in Elite is NGC 2346.

And I'm looking for M2-9:

Minkowski 2-9, abbreviated M2-9 (and also known as Minkowski's Butterfly, the Wings of a Butterfly Nebula, and Twin Jet Nebula) is a planetary nebula that was discovered by Rudolph Minkowski in 1947. It is located about 2,100 light-years away from Earth in the direction of the constellation Ophiuchus.

Generally, look up the star you're interested in on something like SIMBAD and search the galmap for the various designations given. If it's in the game it should show up under one of them...

Hi,

Could this be the one?

Not every object in the real-world galaxy has been copied over into the ED galaxy. If you are having trouble finding it then I suspect it is not there. The one Setth posted above is a procedurally-generated nebula, which may or may not be in a similar place but is not intended to be the actual M2-9 nebula. If it is in a similar place, then it could perhaps be regarded as a reasonable substitute.
