I've been doing some sneaking into stations recently, flogging off the cargos of the bounties I hunt. Because of fitting constraints, I'd originally tried this without a heatsink, going for the slow method. But turning off those systems every time was tiresome so...
I popped into the control software for the x52 and made a key macro, it hits 4, next tab and then turns everything off, apart from sensors and life support. Worked a treat.
Fastforward a few days and I've got a heatsink, got caught a couple of times and the heatsink just seems like a must. Don't really use the macro anymore, but I keep it there, you never know it might come in handy. I've just popped a few crimms, and I'm poring over their(my) cargo in the cargo hold. I knock the toggle holding the macro and I watch it proceed to move from my cargo screen to my functions screen, where it deploys my landing gear, cargo scoop, turn the lights on my ship on, and carry on moving all the way down the list. Right down to self destruct. I've uninstalled that macro now.
