You can't generalise that. There are some manufacturers that should be really scary to their "western" competition, even offering things like acceptable support. You don't get the rock bottom prices from those, but in terms of value for money they're right up there. They're also manufacturing all the high-quality brand products as well.

Apparently the new Mad Catz is run by those who used to build their stuff in the first place though

My iPhone 8+ is superbly manufactured, thank you very much.

Also, my Anker USB hubs, iPad keyboard/cover, USB chargers and their woven line of cables are absolutely top notch. Made in Shenzhen.
