Mad guy mad about things

Hello

Im mad, like SO mad ._.
There i go one damn time actually buying a game (i usually pirate everything)
And they slap my face into another dimension.

Yeah i know, i an feel they put and are putting alot work into this game.
Well lets try to be kinda constructive..

I got that game 2 days ago and as promised you can jump right into, well, into nothing.
I dont know who's sayign there are players in the beginner systems.
I spend one day understanding the very basics (HUD, what to buy, tradign etc.)
The biggest thing that really ruins everything are the jumps.
I mean, what does a devoleper think ill do?
I have no choice but to waste time watching stars passing by. You cant do anything while doing that.
So of course you try to pass that time by as exp checking skype. That takes ~20 Seconds and then you come back and your ship is destroyed
Then theres this endless emptyness like, i thought there are ~12k players or even more. Where are they??
I saw 7ppl in ~5hours in the BEGINNER areas
If i wouldnt get lucky and had somebody help me id still be in my sidewinder..
Also, Theres a solo player. Let it be "solo" !! I dont want to waste hours of time flieng from a to b to finally get a ship and blow up npcs.
I mostly bought the game because of the huge map, i loved this exploring factor, just jump somewhere and be the first player ever reaching there, sadly, itll take you an hour to a bit distance and it feels the moment i reach todays borders of discovered systems its already double as big. Give someone who wants to explore the chance to start with an exploration ship

tl;dr
Took me a day to understand the very basics which could be explained in ~10 minutes
You cant do anything while Hyperpeed/space/room w ever.
If you dare to go afk while it you lose your precious ship. and money.
I want to be able to explore from the very beginning, let us cheat in Solomode.
Online mode is rather see stranger in The walking dead

Im NOT saying the game is , i love the idea behind it, i love it. but these 5 little things are really ruining it for me.
I know im bad at english and im not trieng to change that

The solution is simple: make a suggestion or solution for everything you don't like or don't bother making the thread? It's pointless to complain about something if you don't have a solution to accompany it.

Research is your friend here, if you buy a game without (at very least) first looking at vids on youtube, then you get what you deserve. And I also see no suggestions in your thread to fix what you see as wrong with this game my suggestion to you is in the future don't buy things you have no idea on how complex they can be.

400 billion star systems divided between 12000 players would mean if everyone was sitting still and you were the only one jumping, you would need to visit 33,333,333 systems before you would run into one other player. The fact that you found 7 in beginner space is kind of phenomenal don't ya think?

Also, I have afk'ed for several hours before and not once had my ship blown up while I was gone. Just like when I park my car, it doesn't smash into other vehicles on the highway. I imagine however if I took a nap while I was driving it, there would be a pretty fair chance it would wreck. Perhaps the problem here is that you misunderstand the game. That would explain why you are sad that when you travel through systems in "solo" mode, you have to kill npc's, even though that is like literally the point in the game.

Well I, for one, am glad you're annoyed. Now maybe you can experience something like the way a game developer feels when people pirate their games.

You do know that this attitude, the way some developers package their way too early released game with DRM that is literally a virus, and these exact experiences when purchasing said games, are exactly why piracy is such a thing, further that, piracy is vastly over rated compared to legit buyers. Most pirates would have never bought it either way, so if it's good, at least they get free advertisement!

Anyways ya the game is tough, doesn't teach you enough, and even veterans don't know exactly how things work because they change things without telling anyone, or documenting anything, and only show partial stats in game, or anywhere.

I actually do agree that piracy is an overstated factor on game sales, and that the logic of equating a pirated game to a lost sale is deeply flawed.

I made that comment because to go into the forum of a game developer, and then boast "I always pirate", seemed, to me; either blase to the point of offensive - or an immature, swaggering outburst from a stroppy teenager.

HAHAHA glad this developer got your money - Now don't forget to close that door on the way out...there's a good chap. :p

Fair enough, still though, who knows why he does it, but seems silly to advertise it in the open like that o_O
