Mad Scientist Ammunition/weaponsystems

Hi Hi

the weapons ingame so far are all pretty nice and i really enjoy them but sometimes im like hmm what could you do to spice some things a Little bit up ^^
so here are things that i think could spice combat a bit up.

Highspeed Ammunition:
they use move "powder" and have a smaller caliber that makes them fly faster then normal rounds their class but they also have less Penetration (higher Speed and lower mass that the damage stays the same)
That would be helpfull for fixed weapons because now if you use for example mulitcannons and lasers you have to have one of them gimbeld other wise with pre aiming you only would be able to hit with one Kind.
But with faster rounds it would be a bit more viable to Play with fixed lasers and kinetic weapons ;)

Shield destruptor Rounds:
The sudden Impact on the shields with it Energie makes the projectile decay into Sub atomic particle which can tunnel throw the shield.
If These kinetic rounds are fired on shield the shield will absorb like 80% of the damage the rest of the 20% damage will go throw the shield as thermal damage and will harm the hull, no Addition effects if fired on the hull those particle only can tunnel throw a short distance and solid metal plates are just to much ;)
These rounds are for the Situation where it is like enemy only has 5% hull left his shield recharge while he Charges Frame shift drive. or in Situation in which your weapnos are to powerfull for things like destroying the chargo hatch just a bit xD

Boiling Rounds:
Rounds which start melting after a set amount of time.
They work like normal rounds but after a Periode of time they start melting for a set Duration. while they melt they increase the heat in the vessel which got hit by them.
Damage is not all why not also attack the heat Management of your Opponent ;) ?

Weapon System Energie Drain Harpoon:
The Name is pretty self explaining ^^
you Fire are Harpoon which start Draining the Energie out of your opponents Vessel. Additional effects could be like the Harpoon used the drained Energie to increase your tracking ablity that your Gimbeld/turret weapons have a higher accuracy and the area in which fixed weapons start gimbel a bit them self also get incrased.
And after some time the Harpoon just overheat and removes themself after some time.

Different laser Colours
I think they have been discused already a bit ^^
my Suggestion for that Topic would be things like
Red Laser = longer range but Needs more energie
Violet laser = shorter range but also Need less Energie
(I dont like to Change the damage Output because then balanceing would be a nightmare)

I like the idea of Boiling Rounds, maybe not necessarily as actual ammo, but maybe a limpet that attaches itself to a targetted ship's hull and starts heating up, increasing the ship's temperature. Higher quality limpets last longer and it could be possible to attach multiple limpets to one ship, but maybe limit the amount of limpets you can have active at any single time, so that you'd require multiple ships to cover the enemy ship in limpets and fry the pilot inside. That would be really cool!
 
yeah that is very good Point :D
the boiling rounds was just the first Thing that came into my mind as i though what could you do to fry a Pilot ;)
