I am 25,830ly from Zaonce "home". It has taken me 6 weeks since I can only play a few hours each night but using the Oculus Rift it has been a blast. Literally the closest I will ever come to seeing space firsthand or exploring and worth every dime into the $3,000.00 pc I built for running the rift at max. If you have a rig powerful enough to run the rift at max settings and have not explored deep space yet I cant stress how beautiful and awesome of an experience it is despite Elite's and the rifts shortcomings. Here is hoping I can make it back home safely to sale all the data especially since powerplay is now out. I hear NPC's are much deadlier now.

Amazing man!! Grats on the journey. I currently have a rift but i cant run it on max. I've been considering waiting until CV1 to do my epic tour.
Congrats dude, be sure to check out one of the Neutron fields on the way back. Easy money & a very trippy experience in VR, you will be jumping through what feels like empty space.

I have been out since January, heading back from Sag A*, I had visited as some other places too, I took a curved route down one of the spiral arms, the combat training and betas have been a welcome relief from exploring(still love it though) yesterday it dawned on me, when I set off there was no Wings, now there is all kinds of threats, fingers crossed I get back safe with my 3000+ systems worth of data as if I get destroyed now I would probably rage quit
