Made it to the edge of the galaxy

Literally got to the point where the stars ran out earlier today. Not in anywhere special, just a random star along the edge, but it was an interesting experience not seeing any stars other than the two that were in that particular system (the galaxy was so bright it obscured all the stars in that direction). Took my 43ly Asp around 14 premium FSD boosts to get out there and back to normal route plotting, the most I've traveled with jumponium.

Though I want to get into exploring the galaxy too, and feel like I've missed a lot being late to the game, you guys who go 1 step (or 14) beyond are just crazy. How bonko can you be to go so far, beyond what's possible, just for a pretty view of the galaxy. Well it is really nice, maybe one day I'll be able to get there too. But there are also the distant star guys...
Now, how do I join the madness [mublemuble]

if yu want to have a taste of that experience, without comitting to a very long trip, move (or better: try to move) 1500 ly above or below sol ... there is an upper and downer edge of our galaxy close by :)
