Magnetic brake for Log Flumes

Just an idea at current, especially having ridden Chiapas last weekend but would it be possible to get a magnetic brake piece for Log Flumes?

This would allow sections like the one pictured above to be slowed down more "naturally" than the -2.5 lateral g the ride pulls at current. Having the option for a brake could also be used to simulate the shorter run off's many real flume rides have.

It's on a few flume rides yes. Chiapas uses it for example. Also as stated it could be used to simulate a shorter "run off" too. If you look here you can see the brakes in this photo in the middle of the trough:
