Magnetic Emitter Coils: Help?

I've been using Inara and this https://eddb.io/commodity/296 to find Magnetic Emitter Coils... well... to search anyway. So far they have both been 100% wrong for the last few hours.

Where the heck can we find these?

I'm flying a Large ship so I can only land where there are large docking pads.

Thanks!

Instead use the Find Commodity tool. And pay attention to the time stamp on the data. Though all of the stations that carry it carry alot of it.

Oresqu - Libby Horizons
Aasgaa - Steiner Platform

They should have them for sure because I went there quite often to gather those Emitter Coils.

Don't all the blue prints tell you a station you can buy those commodities at now if you select them in a blueprint?

Lol. Never mind the magnetic emitter coils, they are easy.
Tell me how to get chemical manipulators.
Without becoming a pirate and attacking T9s.
This game... I tellya.

If I was a reading man, I would say there are at least three, beyond Mission reward

  • Destroyed Haulage vessels -> this includes Wanted ones if you don't want to be a criminal yourself and find bounty hunting okay
  • Can be salvaged from Combat Aftermath signal sources in Shipping lanes
  • Can be salvaged from emissions signal sources in High Security systems

In addition to the good advice above, you can also filter the galaxy map to show systems experiencing outbreaks or famine. You'll find large debris fields in those systems, destroyed cargo ships with chemical manipulators and other materials floating around.

Indeed I am a reading man. Please try not to be so condescending.

RNG plays a large part and I have as yet been unlucky.

Have yet to find a wanted Hauler.
Have yet to find a combat aftermath signal source.
Have yet to find any in emission signal sources. Although I have been jumped by wings several times now in 0 threat level and promptly sent to a rebuy screen. So I now sympathise with many of the Insane Overpowered Ai threads.
Have yet to find any in mission rewards.

These are observations, not complaints.

I've given myself a deadline. If I haven't found what I need. I shall just return to my exploration trip without engineers mods.

It appears though, once I'm done with that, I'll probably move on, nothing else in this game seems to make sense. Certainly not progression, investment and reward.

RNG based games are no better than casinos, pokies/slot machines/one armed bandits.

And that's one compulsion I won't be drawn into.

Ah, there we go. That's new information, thank you. I shall give that a go this afternoon.

Sorry if you found that condescending I was acting on your imperative to "Tell me how to get chemical manipulators. Without becoming a pirate and attacking T9s." I am not sure why someone following your instruction to tell you something you requested be condescending.

In future I will know not to answer.
