One of these mostly unnoticed things that have to be dealt with.
I am reminded of the leap-second adjustments. This world is certainly not made to fit our everyday simplified understanding of it, scientists and engineers have to fix things in the background so "normal" people or software depending on accurate real time data are not too confused.
