Horizons Maia in trouble - federation conflict zone help!

I don't get this community goal. I travel over 500LY to a system to perticipate in the trouble in maia community event, but it doesn't say "imperial" or "federal" in the faction selection under functions, and on the ships themselves, their powers say "imperial" and "alliance". Who do i align with in the to help the federation? Is one of the factions federation while the other's imperial? Is the alliance supposed to say federation?

and WHY, are the conflict zones, now in a CEASE FIRE!?! Now i can't kill anyone without making it a 20 v 1 battle, and ontop of that it's all confusing! (and don't even get me started on the conflict zones disapearing sometimes).

Now what do i do? Because as I've been trying to figure this out, others seem have somehow moved up the event to the 7th tier! If all the conflict zones are in a ceasefire, how are they getting combat bonds?

Yep, it is a horribly setup and poorly planned community event. If you align one way or the other, the enemy should be red OR have the information in the ship info when you target it if it is FEDERATION OR IMPERIAL. Just lame.

That sounds like a bug to me for the CZ to be in ceasefire at the beginning of CG that pits Imps against Feds. I would bug report it.

I took a massacre mission in LHS 28 and there are no conflict zones, the CZ mechanic sounds like it's having a bad time.

Has apparently been occurring since the 28th. Same circumstances. Glad I didn't sign up for this one, sorry for you guys.
