Main Menu White Text on Bright Background isn't Legible

The white text on partially white background isn't legible:

Well that's certainly difficult to read.

Needs a darker rectangle behind the text to add contrast.

Good screenshot - have you logged a bug report with FD?

Can you list video card, driver and HMD type? Vive/Rift?

It looks like it is in the wrong place? For me it is situated above and to the left of the SRV. Have you tried re-centering your view?
 
@Ryder35: I actually turned my head to intentionally show the issue at it's worst. In general, regardless of the background scene details it's relatively hard to read the text, without the option to set the opacity of the panel background. I seem to remember that there used to a partially opaque black panel behind the text. Bringing that back would solve the issue.

I don't get the sense that what I'm seeing is a bug or hardware issue but is instead a design choice. I recommend revisiting that design choice and considering a translucent dark-colored panel behind the white text. As an adding bonus, there would be a user configurable option to choose the opacity of the background panel.
