Astronomy / Space Main Web Site Update

Hi everyone.
Having enjoyed the ride with Star Citizen, first pledging and then adding one for my son, then upping both pledges I can't help thinking that ED is missing something in appealing to new and old fans alike. Stories like Cassandra's Tears and Kid Crimson are exceptional stories drip fed in bite sized chunks that keep me going back.

Pleasev don't get me wrong. I played the original on a BBC model B and it pretty much changed my life. I played on tha Amiga and other platforms and I check back every year or so for an update having last played first encounters.

For me IMHO we need to get the party going and a new Elite deserves a shiny new dynamic web site with lots of changing content at least while the pledge window is still open. The new generation almost demand it and when you land here it is kind of dissapointing.

I will be gutted if this does not get funded after nearly 30 years of waiting. Frontier were definitely caught off guard with the original Kick starter page and I don't think they have caught up yet.

I even registered just to post this. Just one opinion and trying to be positive. I pledged for myself and my son.

Cheers
Jason.

Definitely think the game should have it's own site/forum when it's funded and I ask this question a few hours ago http://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=2970 got this answer back from mod Brett C.

Hi there. I guess I admire that there is no apparent sense of urgency. I didn't see your post but couldn't agree more.

The publisher free model is supposed to give full control to the developer so I would love to see something different. Most of the money will most likely be from new players and as I said they tend to consume huge amounts of information from the web on a daily basis so if this feels a bit steady to me then it can't be a good sign.

Hi guys,

Whilst I can't give you any assurances about the content of any Elite website just yet, we will definitely be re-organising the forums to accomodate the potential influx of users. This will include having multiple sub-forums to cover different factors of the game and keep everything more organised, although this won't come into effect until the new year of course. ;)

The likelihood though is that it will remain a part of these forums, but become more 'robust'. This isn't set in stone yet though!
