Major Drift using the Rift

Seems that after the update, I am getting MAJOR drift, so wondering if anyone else is experiencing this before I report it as a bug. From the looks of things, it seems that the game is resetting the Rift when you open a menu (targets, systems, etc..

At least, first glance. I can't really play and debug until my mounting plates get finished in the next day or 2.

Played a couple of hours last night 1.05 in solo and things seemed ok. I tend to have to reset after a jump or if I take the goggles off and put them to one side. Not seeing any drift using menus and such though.

What do you mean when you say drift ? I was mucking about in the training missions last night because my connection was offline, and after flying around the station interior for a bit I was suddenly slammed into the side. I had to fly at about 45º angle just to make it to the exit - it was as if I was suddenly in an independent orbit to the station. Really weird - so glad it wasn't my real ship I was flying at the time, because made a hell of a mess.

Drift is when the view is offset and you have to do a Rift reset.

I did just reassemble my workstation, so there may be an issue with either RFI interferrence with the sync cable, or it could be the position of the positional camera. I'll take a look more in depth at it when I get home. Thanks for the responses, as I know it's on my end now.

This has been a constant problem with me in ED. I've ticketed it every time they do an update (and then delete my own ticket)

This I've not had this issue with any other Rift games. Something's causing the tracking to reset to weird values at random times. I almost feel like they have some code that tries to detect if the data coming back from the tracker is valid, and if they see something they don't like, they just reset it instead of discarding the data, or something weird like that. That's probably totally baseless and wrong, but I don't have much to go on.

Please ticket it! We're not the only ones with this problem.

I'm an idiot. While everything was plugged in, my USB hub wasn't powered on, thus not powering on the IR camera.
