Major faction ranking

I have wondered for a long time now why we can only rank up doing missions. Why don't bounty/combat vouchers contribute and trading/exploring etc.

After all you are doing your bit for that superpower. Makes no sense.

Also not everyone wishes to just spam missions to get their corvette/clipper/cutter etc

Im assuming they thought it would be too easy/quick if people just raided cz's all day.

What? I've heard bounty hunting was actually more effective than doing missions for rep gain. Missions give almost no rep for me.
