Major issue with keybinds getting erased or reverted

I'm having a serious issue with my keybinds either disappearing, or more often than that reverting to the bindings I had a few weeks ago (but had changed before Odyssey came out).

I use a HOTAS and also a wireless Xbox controller and it seems almost guaranteed to happen if I start the game up before the controller has finished turning on or connecting.

It hasn't happened every time otherwise so I know it's not an issue with the config files not saving. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Have you saved your key binds under a custom name? I don't think I've had a problem since I did that several years ago (unless you count not having any of the on-foot controls pre-assigned with my custom binds).

The problem seems to be much more severe with Horizons and Oddyssey existing next to each other. Everytime I switched between the two my custom keybinds got reset. This concerend on foot keybinds the most in Odyssey as well as the camera suite in Horizons. It is a bit infurating. Setting the keybinds to "read only" in the folder is a workaround to this I have been told.
