Powerplay Major issues with translations!

Powerplay 2.0 is suffering from serious issues with translations (especially in French). This is not just about poorly translated words but about sentences that convey the opposite meaning. The weekly mission directives are incomplete or even incorrect!
Many of us have noticed this problem.

For example, this week:
Here’s the English version.

In the French version, the reference to HIP 77282 is missing! Worse, the French text states that simply collecting escape pods will count, while the English version says the opposite!

What is going on? There have always been imperfections in Elite’s translations since 2014 (a dedicated thread for corrections even existed), but now the issue is severely impacting the success and understanding of missions.
What do you plan to do to address this? Should we be concerned about the quality of translations for the upcoming colonization feature?

The French-speaking community is still very active and includes several Partners. FD, we are ready to collaborate and assist if needed—just ask us.

Fly safe, Commanders.

Had several issues in french too. The "deliver them" instructions are not there in this example. I have to log in french but to be honest I stopped trying to do those weekly assignments, between the poor translations and the bugs (or very unclear instructions), I'm done...

Many translation problems in PowerPlay 2.0.
We can understand the meaning of a poorly translated text but here with PowerPlay 2.0 the problem is much more important since the text does not correspond to the original, parts of the text are missing.
These missing parts therefore make it impossible to complete missions since we are missing essential information such as the destination of the deliveries to be made.

The only current "solution" is to switch your game to English in order to have all the information so this is not a solution, not everyone understands English, that's why the game language is set to French.
Translating yourself with Google Translate while you are on Elite is not a solution either.

In addition, there is no suitable way to report translation errors, the Issue Tracker is not at all suitable for this type of problem.

For the moment I'm staying away from PowerPlay 2.0, maybe one day I'll get interested in it but under no circumstances will I change the language of the game for that.

This kind of problem is similar to what you encounter when using an AI like Chat GPT to do translations, it transforms the words and deletes parts.
It's not worth a human or a good old Google Translate.

I agree that this is a very serious problem which will frustrate and discourage players.
My assumption is that the text was translated before PP2 was fully baked and was therefore correct at the time; later on, PP2 behaviour was changed, the English text was updated, some/all of the translations were not.
I'm going to "report" this thread in the hope that the dev team can be alerted, because I tend to agree that the Issue Tracker isn't appropriate, especially for an urgent howler like this.

there are many errors in translation, but not only, errors in choices how to cut words when those are too long to fit the box.
We all hope that the official FDev parteners will do what we expected from them.
Many cmdrs, where ever they come from, have good ideas of improvements, for the greater good

Ooof, this is bad.

I've worked with translations for decades now and this seems like a major boo-boo, either on part of the translators of the devs when they bring the translated text back into the game.

Its one thing to have some bad translations. We've all had our moments of madness (my personal favourite was a translation which promised staff an "elephant" for meeting targets... it should have been "bonus", but at least that was funny).

I'd guess someone is removing tags or other markers during the process. Normally the text will have something like "Collect X from %1" where the %1 is a reference to a variable, or other code, and often, translation software, like Trados, MemoQ, etc, will replace the code with tags, and if you remove the tags, the code is lost. So, either the translators are messing up during the process, or its being lost on export or import.
