Sarcasm aside, I hate it, too. All I need is a small and very shortlived "You missed again" message.

I don't know, maybe we should spam this on the Issue Tracker, just to let them know how it is to have "message spam" in you cockpit?

Similar issue, like the "inocrrect cockpit mode" warning if you have scanners and weapons on the same firegroup button.
Or the discovery message of the autmated discovery sanner - especially lovely notification for each asteroid belt found.

Oh man...few things tick me off more than this. I can live with the other nonsense already mentioned but this actively increases how much time it takes to complete a task just because it literally blinds you from seeing your target.

I already have that as my mobile call tone, I would be terribly confused....ok more confused, but that's beside the point.
