Hi, guys.
I always thought that making these HUD displays on left and right sides of a cockpit and the way they pop-up when you look at them was an amazing idea. But recently, with the release of Season Two Frontier brought millions of amazing landscapes for us to admire, and these displays started causing some nasty inconviniences. It was never a big deal in ships, but it's a different story with the SRV.
Let's say, I'm flying down into a canyon on an Icy planet. There are gorgeous mountains all around, I really want to admire the view from my Diamondback and there are actually no problems with the displays accidentally poping-up from time to time, because I always can disable the HUD for a short amount of time and it won't affect anything. But when I'm down in Scarab it eventually becomes a pain in the

. I don't know about the other players, but I tend to look around fast while I'm driving and my Drive Assist is mostly off. The problem is that Scarab has not the best view from it's cockpit as it is (it's pretty good, but not as good as ASP, for instance), but there are also these diplays poping-up while I'm headlooking and ruining my driving experience. The point is, once the display is on it disables all controls of the SRV, so I often find myself in a situation when I'm 60 meters per second down to the bottom of a crater and I accidentaly moved my character's head to the side and one of the displays pops-up and all of a sudden my SRV drops all the gained speed and stops. I can't turn, I can't accelerate or whatever. I just need to look away and once it's turned off I need to press the accelerate button again. It is not the biggest problem out there, and it's not ruining the whole gaming experience but it's just quite annoying and very distracting.
So, my suggestion is:
Please, make an option for displays to pop-up only when the hotkeys are pressed and not when headlooking. I understand, it's a developer's vision of how game should work and I respect this. But still, implementing such an option would be amazing.
Thank you!
