Make animal immortal - sandbox

Would it be possible to set certain animal as immortal (not growing anymore)? I know you can do this with all animals, but I'd like to only have few of them immortal.
Explanation:
You want to breed animals with best stats. So you start doing that. After you have your desired animal with great stats, you make it immortal. Then you breed different species with best stats, quickly make it immortal. Just animal by animal.
Or maybe you just want to keep that one stallion forever, but you want to keep breeding everyone else.
That be really cool.

You can do that already, you just need to keep shuffling them around

I don't know what you mean. I know I can make all animals immortal (well... they will grow old and then don't die which I don't like or they can have frozen age but for all, so no new babies and babies won't grow). I'd like to only keep like 5-10 animals forever adult.
I am talking about sandbox ofc.

Isn't this exactly what you are asking for? The animals always stay adults and you can breed with them indefinitely I'm pretty sure. Unless I am missing something (which is possible).

But it affects all animals. Which is what I don't want. They will also grow into elders and when you turn the immortality off, they will die almost instantly. What I am talking about is somethink like a "perk" for an animal you choose. This perk would freeze age of that one animal. For example I will breed a perfect lion cub. So I name him Simba and freeze his age. But all other lions have bad or mediocre stats, I want to keep them breed till I get another perfect one. I name her Nala and freeze her age etc.

The only way you could do it (as I see it) is when you breed the perfect lion (for example your Simba you mentioned) and then put him in the trade center where he won't age. Whenever you breed your "perfect animal" put them in the trade center and when you are done breeding and have attained all the perfect lions you want, just put all of them back into the zoo and stop the aging.

So essentially it's
1. breed
2. put in trade center
3. repeat the above steps as desired
4. put them in a zoo and stop aging

No? You want to breed everyone all the time. But that one animal. And if you breed the one perfect one, you don't want to hide it in trade center, you'd have to put there every perfect animal you have until there is nobody to breed anymore.
Also how can I breed them if they are in TC? And if they are not, they will age. And when you have 100+ animals and want to freeze the age of 20 of them, then this method would be a nightmare.

  • Move animals you want to breed with to your TC
  • Open new (breeding) Zoo
  • Make habitat
  • Place breeding animals in habitat.
  • Let them breed
  • Watch animal born.
  • Send them back to old Zoo.

or

enable animal aging and births. (but then all animals will age).

But you cannot move animals between Zoos in sandbox.

Ah, my bad! :)
It's ok :). And, yes, that would solve all my problems then, right. One zoo as a breeding farm and one as a the main one. But you can't do this, that's why I was looking for one-zoo solution of only picking those animals you don't want to loose.

I actually did suggest this as a possibility for exhibit animals (being able to set ageing on or off for a specific exhibit rather than an individual) as a solution to the people who want exhibit species but find managing them a chore because they breed and die so quickly if you are on standard ageing. People were saying they found it tedious to keep either re-stocking or removing all the babies so I thought being able to turn off ageing (basically pretending that your population of titan beetles were being managed by the staff and had reached a stable population) would work.

Yes, I was asking for the same thing a while ago. I would love to have a bit reptilian house but not at this cost. They just breed too fast and then die.
