General Make AXI the Primary Anti-Xeno Force

Suggestion is to have Aegis focus on Research and Technology, and make AXI the primary Anti-Xeno force official in game.

Since AXI is acknowledged as an in-game lore based entity in GalNet. Make them the primary Anti-Xeno force instead of Aegis.

Then the in-game Aegis faction led by Professor Tesreau can focus on Xeno Research and Technology, but AXI can be the primary fighting force.

AXI already have a large presence and impact on players. They are also the only player based group acknowledged to be fighting Thargoids in-game outside of Aegis. So basically just make them the official canon fighting force.

No! I love the AXI but I have been fighting this war since the Proteus Wave and I can categorically confirm that whilst they + PDES + IDA + DCOH does provide target intelligence many of us are part of independent squadrons, factions doing our not less than significantly bit for the war efforts and they too "the unsung heroes" needs recognition. AXI is not the only player base Group fighting the war, top of my head I can think of Loose Screws, Hutton+++ and the list is long!

o7,

The primary fighting force realistically should be the massive superpower-funded navies, but ingame and GalNet both do a pretty bad job of indicating that they have any impact at all. Aegis is just coordinating (maybe? They used to, it's not been all that clear since the reformation if they still do or if they just advise)

Meanwhile the Pilot's Federation is the small group of nutters in pretty decent ships that can make the difference in places, but it's still a difference, not everything, surely.

In this reference AXI has been doing all the work. It's in GalNet, obviously is true right Rainbro? ;)

In-game, yes it is mostly independent groups working together and coordinating through the forums or through discord with the DCoH or other channels. It seems like in-game Aegis is coordinating the war, even though Professor Tesreau is mostly a researcher and we need her to get back to researching!

I think that was just a poorly-worded attempt to reference player efforts. In game, yeah, obviously players do everything which makes sense because its a game. But in lore, it'd be really weird if groups of independent pilots like AXI were in charge of everything. Are the superpower navies taking orders from random pilots? Is Aegis, after we literally had a plotline where Aegis got shutdown due to overreliance on indie pilots?

I think the lack of CGs and other GalNets made it worse. That's really the main way that superpowers would look to be actually doing something, but I think literally the only one along those lines we got was that Federal corporation doing some war profiteering right at the start.

On that note, it would be possible to address the impression that the players are doing everything in lore. Not that the superpower navies are doing nothing, but...they all have their weaknesses. The Federal Navy has massive funding, but how much of that is lost to corruption and corporate profiteering? The Alliance is paying Sirius Corp a huge sum for very little, weakening its actual capabilities. The Imperial Navy is flawless I dunno, have some political infighting and blame reduced efficiency on that, swap corrupt corporations for corrupt Senators pulling resources to defend their interests.

A few GalNets to hint towards that could go a long way, the superpower navies stretched thin holding everything together meaning groups of suicidal indie pilots can make the difference in key areas. A few GalNets on anything at all would be nice, actually.

Just keep on playing and AXI will be the primary anti xeno force. No need for official recognition - you simply don't get no say in the narrative other than shaping it by playing.
