One very useful feature that could be added to the Navigation and Contacts panel is the ability select destination booksmarks directly from it. This could either be in the form of bookmarks appearing directly in the Navigation pane or preferably having their own tab in that section of the HUD.
As it stands you must first open the Galactic Map and then leaf through several tabs before you reach the bookmarks. Opening the map takes an appreciable time, even with a physical shortcut on the Bone joypad. This becomes especially tedious if you are serving a regular trading route and spend a lot of time changing to your next destination. On a bad connection like mine opening the map can sometime take ten or twenty seconds . Were the bookmarks easier to access it would be a real ease-of-use improvement and I would think have a lower demand on the ED server as the Galactic Map has to be updated each time it is called for.
That said just the existence of bookmarks at all is a massive improvement on how it was when I used to play elite three years on the PC.
