Make DLC to come with new scenarios please

So, i just realized that the spooky pack doesn't come with new scenarios for career mode. that's kind of a deal breaker for me. I remember in Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 that the Halloween theme scenarios in career mode were the funnest.

I hope the devs could better integrate the DLCs (esp. Spooky Pack) into the game by including additional career scenarios appropriate to that DLC. As of now, i don't think the DLCs are worth it.

I agree [up] now that we are getting CSO/Thememakers Toolkit, the DLC is worth even less IMO. adding scenarios to each of the DLC packs would be nice, and I would also like to see some entertainers added to, like Doc brown for BttF, and Vampires, Frankenstein, etc added to the Munsters... then they might actually be worth buying

I am also missing scenarios. Apparently they need to use the developer's work in a way and they have allot it to other things. Maybe they do not have as many developers anymore assigned for Planco and apparently scenario playing is not as popular as some of us want to be. [cry]

Just one new scenario to fit each DLC which be a good addition. I much prefer scenarios and it allows me to get creative with a more limited scope of pieces. So yes, definitely in need of further scenarios!

main game for everyone could be enhanced with more scenarios, too. it's been a while since the last.

Yea, looks like that. On the other hand, I think scenarios are a lot focused around management and most people seem to consider it to not be the strenght of PC. That´s why it is not as popular as it could be. :(

Think this one through and apply the same logic to scenarios - once we got the ability to make our own scenarios, Frontier-created scenarios became less valuable.

What is missing is the ability to tie several user made scenarios together to form a career extension.

There are quite a few user made scenarios that are better games than any official scenario. Let me throw one out as a suggestion:

I've not seen this one mentioned on this forum. No one will ever confuse this park with some of the most artistic creations we've seen, but as a PC gaming experience, this one is about as good as it gets.

Cheers all!

Thats why I suggested also adding entertainers, however I would argue that many people do consider official Frontier scenarios to be more valuable, though I do agree that it would be nice if user-made scenarios could be expanded a bit too somehow [up]

I definitely think that the scenario editor could be expanded a LOT, and I have mentioned some suggestions. But sadly it has been neglected.

I think we are slowly getting to a realization - perhaps we should ask Frontier to bundle user-made scenarios into an "official" release to extend career mode.

Of course Frontier would require permissions from scenario creators, but I don't think most scenario creators would have an issue with that - after all, their work is available in the Workshop.

Anybody think this is a good idea?

I think their issue is more of the testing aspect than actual creation. And testing take time. So bundling usermade as official would just take time too. [cry]

Because the quality is rather inconsistent. Some are beautiful but poorly laid out or plainly wrongly made objectives, or even rudimentary or none at all, and some other are lacking in the park design itself instead. Those with beautiful parks get high rating because of visuals. Plus some people are erroneously using scenario for non-scenario parks because they wanted to do "more" with the sandbox which make the rating skewed.

I agree. That suggests that we, as players, become editors and make recommendations. There are over 1,800 scenarios in the workshop. Surely we can find a handful to recommend.

I agree 100%, but with the DLC requirements it could be tricky implement. I am purely a scenario player these days and there so much that doesn't get utilised when playing scenarios.

There are some cracking ones on the Workshop, but I haven't build a hotel yet, let along a restaurant. Even transport rides don't get much love. But as your average scenario is quite lengthy, testing becomes a problem. Currently playing Hurricane Hills and it's been a joy to play as the park is run destroyed after a hurricane as it both a building and management focused scenario with a good number of objectives.

I do think having recommend user made scenarios in the main menu would please a lot of people, as Helena said the workshop is mixed bag. Just because it wonderful created map it doesn't make a good scenario, as I enjoy building my own custom buildings and scenery in the style of the scenario.

I don't even want to play scenarios at the moment as long as the DLC's are not researchable....

I agree. Another aspect of having scenarios with the DLC's is the educational examples of how the new building pieces are intended to be used. That is not obvious!
