Make it so Transport Rides can have 1 station (so Steam boat can be Jungle Cruise, or Bus Tours...)

Hi!
I'm just trying to make some kind of backlot tour (Fast & Furious, Kong, Cars Roadtrip) inspired ride using the bus ride and I just noticed I have to create a separate station.
It kind of feels like the game goes out of its way to frustrate me.
I guess it makes it hard to use the Steam boat as a Jungle Cruise ride as well, or even the Steam train as some kind of scenery-heavy ride...
Why not "just" give us the option to decide if we want those rides to be either a transport ride or a dark ride?
