Make jump/ hyperspace/ travel system faster

it takes more than 10 minuttes in my sidewinder to jump to another destination in same system. are they suppose to be like that ? can u make it faster for the sake of fun than science ?

It takes 90 minutes to travel from Alpha Centauri to Hutton Orbital (in orbit around Proxima Centauri, the second star in the system) - that's 0.22 LY or approximately 6,942,624 Ls.

So, in answer to your question - yes, it is supposed to be like that - space is big.... :)

Yes, its intended game design. You'll know why once you get interdicted.
Between Systems there is hyperjumping (few secs only).
In system is Supercruise and limited speed. Try a run to Hutton Orbital to experience how big space is.
(Its in system Supercruise for 0.22 LY)

Or go to a system that has station closer to the sun. There thousands stations out there. Your idea would also make THE HUTTON ORBITAL TRUCKERS 1000 plus people Mad because the game would seem small.

Yes it supposed to be like that. Space is Huge it not microscopic.

Please next time use a search feature.

Undeniably, cover the 0,22 l.e. in cruise mode takes a lot of time, but THE HUTTON MUG and CENTAURI MEGA GIN is worth every second spent. :D
... or not.

Yup, if you're trading or mission running, be sure to check your target system first to find out the distance from the star to the station - I generally don't pick anything further away than 500LS
