Avoiding the perpetual discussions/debates of Open only, how about making Powerplay seasonal, with a definite endpoint? Declare a winner, and then start fresh in a new season?

An interesting idea. I had a similar one where FD would take two powers in turn and make a CG for them to fight over a fixed objective. Mix some (hopefully working) 3.3 scenario magic and have a regular rumble that would have lore consequences.
Hopefully 2019 might bring some joy. Hopefully. For realz this time. Really, really really real. fOR Real.
