Instead of having third party tools that allow you to mark down trade data from each station, why not have it as part of the game? Perhaps another windows in the cockpit? It would also be cool to have this as a features because not only do you not have to rely on third party tools for vital trading information, you could also have a 2nd player handle the data entry/retrieval when we get multi-person crews. This way the pilot can focus on buying and selling while the co-pilot looks up the data.
Instead of manual entry for the buy/sell data, have a button that imports the data. Then you can share that data with the "trade network" (other players) or selfishly hog it to yourself keeping it on your personal computer. Trade data not shared should be lost on ship destruction. You should also be able sell it to a station in a similar way to how maps are done.
