I've submitted a Community Goal to hopefully give you all some in game benefits to the roleplay above, so keep an eye out for that in the future; but there's a more personal reason for making this thread, and a genuine appeal to community here behind it. I'm going to keep this vague to avoid triggering any more drama, but here's the basics;
For reasons best known to themselves, a concerted attack has been launched against United Imperial Dairies by persons unknown. No attempt has been made to contact any member of the UID player faction, there’s no sign of people missioning in Cowini in open, but every day UID is taking a hammering.
Speaking to Frontier's helpful tech support has confirmed it's the same individuals at work (who they can’t name, and quite rightly not). But the problem is, there seems to be a cap (either soft or hard) on how much influence you can generate per day. I'm not sure exactly where it is, but putting in occasional obscene efforts, and deliberate days off to test it has generated similar results over multiple days, either a repeatable stalemate or a swing capped around 1.3 to 1.4% ish.
Which means against suitably determined people, with enough free time to put in literally hours every single day, it's not possible for us to do more than keep the status quo. Whilst the player faction above isn't even my creation, it was made by a friend who had hoped to leave it healthy until Squadrons came along and his gaming group came back, there's basically a skeletal crew running the faction until Beyond 4... So I thought I'd ask if anyone here fancies doing a bit of community service and knocking some missions in to make continuing to focus on UID ultimately pointless?
There may, or may not be in game milk in it for you later.

Alas, in the darkest cowners of the galaxy, such Bovophobia indeed exists; And there in lies a deadly peril to the health of all Cowmanders out there. Because here at UID we're currently gearing up to ranch our new range of genetically modified Magnesium Cows on Cowini 9; specially bred to tackle both the loss of calcium that prolonged exposure to space can lead too, and potential space sickness in one single, genuine Magnesium Milk product, straight from the cow's udder. Fresh squeezed and vacuum sealed, keeping you bright eyed from the Bubble to Beagle and all points in between!
You know you want it. You need it. And we will provide it.
But out there, someone intends to try and stop us, through underhanded and nefarious means! Who are these people? We have no idea, but I suspect it can only be those underhanded scumbags from San Gurrets Milk Substitutes, the scheming bunch of… what? Oh, yes, sorry Anah; Cut that bit out of the final transcript, would you? Anyway, whoever they are, they have dedicated months of their lives to trying to wreck our innocent, healthy ways. And if you want to protect your brittle bones, or at least avoid a dreaded case of chaffed mouth-roof from nasty sharp Cownflakes, you cown't let this happen. Accept only the real thing!
So here at UID we're calling upon all civic minded citizens to hoof it over to Cowini and work for us. Really milk those mission boards. Moo've those goods about, round up rustlers, and put those space cows that are sitting idle in your hangers to a cownstructive use instead.
