Make the "mailbox" for big ship irrelavent

Have external landings on the outside of stations, allow Fdev to expand the size of the ships

I like the small mail box, it requires high precision on my beluga to sneak in. But they should add some visual reference.

Concerning your request they should reserve a space inside the no fire zone where you can hang your ship and then you move into a smaller one (sidewinder for example like in the fighter hangar) and use that smaller ship to dock into the starport.

I got the idea from Starship troopers - they dock on the stations - looks epic and would make perfect sense in ELITE Dangerous

That might work for an outpost but not anything like a Coriolis or larger. They have a rotating torus. That alone would make them a nightmare to dock at. Starship Troopers had the magic of gravity. These stations don't.

Ah Fair - also the rotation of the entire station to simulate gravity would made docking externally a B***H haha but thought counts

Could be done if a docking computer was mandatory for external docking. No docking computer, no external docking.

I forgot what station I was at near to the Federation, but I did get to see a platform where a Farragut Classed Capital Ship was docked. The station was a Corriolis but the docking platform was definitely not connected to the Coriolis.

it was definitely am impressive site from my ASPX. And while I had secretly hoped that one day I might be able to captain such a ship, at the same time, Multicrew needs to definitely be worked on more before that happens.

Until then? I'm happy with the mailslot and the thought that when I finish landing at a station, there's some gravity to be had from that station.

Empire have similar docks for their capital ships.
