Right now, the right-hand menu tells you basically one important detail; your current credit balance. Everything else is either a giant button that tells you nothing, or rank information that is broadly irrelevant.
Now that consoles are out of the picture, it would be nice to have that space converted to a more useful purpose.
Of course, this is just a rudimentary mockup, but it conveys the general idea. Immediately showing players what's happened in Galnet will keep them invested in the plot, and having immediate carrier info without needing to swap panels will also be very helpful.
Assuming any space is left over, a scroll of recent events would also be handy. Scanned a biological recently? You could scroll down and hit it, and automatically be taken to the appropriate codex entry. Mission update? Hit the entry and get taken to the mission. And so on and so forth.
