Make the T10 the best thargoid hunting ship.

As it is now the T10 is basically useless for goid hunting when compared to the big 3.

The T10 HP placement is too far apart making the fixed weapons almost impossible to use which then forces you to use turrets lowering your damage/DPS.
The hull is higher than the vette (and maybe cutter) but its lower than the conda. It does have higher hull rating but the pure armour stat of the conda negates this.
The shields are lower than the big 3 by at least 2kmj so you can take less of a beating before they drop. This combined with the lower damage/DPS and lower hull than the conda makes goid hunting a lot harder.
The maneuverability is lower than all 3 so its a lot harder to fight the swarm or to shoot the goid itself (even with turrets its still harder to deal damage because half of your weapons will not be firing).
Its speed is extremely low (granted speed isn't as necessary in goid fights but it would benefit to being able to hit 300 in combat loadout).
Finally its jump range is pretty damn low especially for a ship designed to go to and from the Pleiades. Even though it does have a higher range than the vette it will only mean that you will travel 2-5 jumps less which really isn't that much of a benefit.

For a ship that was advertised as essential for goid hunting it provides no benefit than using one of the big 3.

To make the ship the best for goid hunting i think it needs a few changes.

Firstly i think it needs to have the AX limit removed, this would then mean it can out damage/DPS the conda for goid hunting.
Secondly i think it needs an extra 2 utility mounts, to balance this though they should be restricted or come with non removable AX scanner and shutdown field neutraliser.
Thirdly i think it should have its jump range increased slightly (so it can hit at least 28ly in a goid hunting build).

I believe these changes would make the ship the best at goid hunting without unbalancing it for other activities.

IMO T10 is more of an armed T9, which the traders and miners wanted all along. As far as Thargoids go we already have capable ships and Chieftain seems promising, too.

I am not really a pro in Thargoid hunting, but have tanke part in some wing fights against threat 5's and fitted a T10 for that purpose too. Imo it has some strenghts. True, it's not really superior to any of the big three - but it has it's own niche, I'd say.

The weaponplacement ain't that bad if you place the AX multis all on one wing, let's say on the right side and the AX missiles on the other wing. You'll get a decent fire-convergence this way. Even better then with some other ships. Also the hull can be made supermassive and at least a threat 5 scout can really only scratch the T10's hull if maxed out to the brim with HRP's and some MRP's.

Also it's a great support ship, becouse it can hold all the stuff like healing laser, repair limpets, corrosive cargo rack, research limpets and what not.

Maybe the T10 could have a littel bit more speed or even more cargo space to make it truely desirable...

This is where I'd feel a Type-10 would really shine, as a support vessel for an AX-equipped wing. 4 large AX multicannons, 3 medium flak launchers, two small healing beams, hangar of AX fighters, decon and repair limpets, xeno scanner and shutdown field neutralizer. Wing up with three other people flying something quick and hard hitting like AX-equipped Fer-de-Lances. Feels like the Thargoid Interceptors were intended to be like raid bosses and the Type-10 a fire support ship. At least to me. That's not to say the Type-10 couldn't do with a bit of tweaking.

If we already had capable ships what was the point in FD releasing a ship specifically for the role?

Don't get me wrong i do like the ship and it is my favourite for goid hunting but it does need something to make it stand out.

The conda can do everything better even as a support ship because it has more optional internals plus its extra agility and speed makes it more effective.

The T10 has been designed and released for a role which multipurpose and ordinary combat ships beat it at.

Simply removing the AX limit and giving it 2 more utilities would definitely make the ship the best at the role it was designed for.

Well it may work well as a support ship but the conda still does that better.
