I wouldn't call it exploring with luck. Random things gets consistent with time. Also, your estimates for conflict zone earnings is too moderate. I'm assuming this is best case earnings so, best case earnings in a conflict zone requires a highly engineered FDL, Anaconda or #covfefe. With one of those you're popping small ships incredibly fast and the big NPCs doesn't really have much of a chance for a long life either. :)

yeah i used exploring with luck and put a bigger gab , 10-40 mil, because you could * in theory* go a few if not allot of system with out actually finding good Planet types. but you are right , with time it would probably balance out more making the gap smaller.

With the new Nerf to mission stacking for killing enemies , thats why i lowered the CZ payout amount. CZ in all honestly is not a great way of making cash anymore. as the bounty generally tend to be lower on ships in CZs

but yeah even the bounty hunting 20+Mill in HAZ site would require a pretty bad ship like a conda/corvette. its pretty hard to stay in a HAZ site for one hour making 10M ( you can get this by refreshing the zone ( longing out or jumping out and in of the haz site ) until big ship spawn. i normally do it till i see condas and i notice its pretty random and before long i start seeing allot of small ships and jump out again.

also depending on your guns you might run out of ammo but you can always replenish them.

I do mention that it helps if you are ELITE in most ranks witch would entitle a decent ship most likely. not really noob friendly.

noobs doing the same things would considerably get lower payouts. What i put is basically the MAX payout an hour you can make.

Interesting summary!
If this is indeed all correct, FDev seems to have (mostly) managed to level all professions, especially if one takes the involved risks into account.

I have to agree with duckofdeath, though: you have underestimated the pay-outs of CZ missions.
72 destroyed ships will earn you 15M credits (allied with faction/elite rank mission). This can definitely be achieved in one hour fighting. I would even say, halve an hour is sufficient, too, if nothing goes wrong. So, up to 30M/h should be possible (if you get two of these high-paying missions, that is.)

CZ missions aren't the credits-printing opportunity they were before 2.4 any more, though.
I am wondering about one thing: didn't FDev state, that the payout for those previously stackable missions would be increased alongside the newly implemented limitation?
I didn't see any different rewards after the patch; 72 ships did earn you 15M before and after the patch.
A good way to increase the payout would be to reduce the number of targets per mission, imo. If missions can not be stacked any more and have to be finished serially, two high ship-count missions in a row are really long/intense (the 72 kills/halve hour require concentrated gaming and me being into a flow; I personally can't manage to do that all that often.)

The "trading: ( buy low sell high) 5-7M/hour" is a bit skewed because eddb wasn't really updating. But 4,193/t per return trip is pretty low. I'd up that 5-7m by 25%, at least. And every week, for a short period of time, opportunities for something like 6,500+/t do appear. (And there are generally better oportunities than eddb reports, though it's a pain to find them so I'd stick with the eddb figures.)

Second, it depends on your ship. I've easily done, say, 20m+/h in my Cutter and expect to do so again. (For example, I was making 4m+/h in my Cutter during the ongoing CG, where the round-trip total profit was about 22% of your loop.)

Now, it also seems that you've taken the best performance of the best commanders in each case (no way I can make Colonia and back in 16 hours, for example), so I suspect others might well generate higher profits than me! :)

EDIT: And this thread really ought to be stickied. :)

good post!

i'd just note, that the income for bulktrading massively depends on shiptype.

in a conda you'll make the noted 7+ mio/h with such a state depending route, in a t9 you'll make 8,5+ mio/h, and in a cutter you'll make 13+ mio/h ... that can go up to 23+ mio if all circumstances allign.

the numbers for mining are too low, if we assume at least a mining python correctly outfitted and selling in boom economies. it's around 3,5 mio per hour without missions.

I will need to revist CZ today then and Check it out! I was revisiting Bounty pirate missions last night and i noticed a change in numbers!

1: Mission that use to pay 5M to kill 49 pirates is now 5 mill for 28Pirates
2: mission that use to give 1m~ for 18+ pirates now give 1M for 4-8 Pirates.
3: mission tend to spawn more making the board jumping go Faster ( i do take board jumping into the 1 hour account )

even bounty hunting i'm not done testing it but it seem you can make closer to the 40M+ hour now.

Yeah i found out that EDDB got a little messed up as , ED seems to have changed the API that EDDB use to rely on. gona need to update this as well!

i actually did a round trip to COLONIA my self in 16hours ( thats where i took that number ) had 1 fuel scoop and all passenger cabins on my conda ( 38LY jump average with jet cones route planing (150LY jumps bonus) ) . and thats 16hours of game play! took me 2.5days to actually do it. i made a clean 250M.(from missions) and i didnt pick up all the best once!

thanks for the update! ill change the amounts! and try to do more testing my self! :)

I was wondering about this, too.
Because, pre 2.4.02, I think I've seen CZ missions exactly as I suggested above and as you describe here for bounty hunting.
They were well payed 'elite' missions with less targets necessary, but I wasn't allied with the factions.

Back to my home system where an allied faction is currently at war, I've got the numbers from above (72 kills for 15M).
Maybe it's even a bug? Does being 'allied' actually increases the number of enemies to kill? Probably worth investigating ...

Nice thread. Some further optimisations are possible on some of the professions.

- Short Range Passenger mission 20-40M/hour

There's a way to get short-range passenger missions near Colonia which should get 40-50M/hour. (Use the unusual positioning of Colonia's local tourist beacons to stack a lot of VIP criminal sightseeing trips on a very quick turnaround)

- Short Range Cargo Mission: N/A
These mission types exist in the Colonia region and can get at least 30M/hour. It may be possible to go faster, or get luckier. (Best I've seen so far: Extraction system to Colonia, may repeatedly offer single missions paying 10M and completable including return in 10-15 minutes).

- Mining: (Osmium/Platinum/Painite/Gold ect..properly outfitted Python in boom Eco system no missions ) 1-4M hour

Wing mining for Painite only is reported to get 30M/hour each if fully optimised (i.e. in a pristine reserves RES, selling to Boom systems, advanced prospecting strategies, and crucially, while part of a full wing)

I had a link to the guide for that but can't find it right now. On the miners' reddit somewhere.

Edit: Oh, why not add it for completeness.
CQC: 0.05-0.07M/hour (assumes you're at maxed payout rank and consistently winning deathmatches). Slow, but if you're 50,000 credits short on a rebuy worth remembering it exists as it doesn't require you to have a ship...

Pirating Low-Temperature Diamonds from NPC miners I understand can be a pretty good earner, but I don't have any recent figures for how good.
