- When preparing to dock, close your eyes. For those of you with no eyelids you can alternatively place your monitor(s) outside the room and close the door whilst docking to achieve the same effect. Note: No docking computer allowed.
- Randomly unplug one (or more) of your keyboard, mouse or flight stick to simulate a ship systems failure.
- Purchase seven (+/- two) kittens. Place them at or near your desk. Sit at your desk and play Elite Dangerous.
- Get rotten drunk and attempt to initiate voice communication with a random passer by.
- Suspend yourself upside down from the ceiling in front of your computer using a series of wires connected to pulleys. Naturally you must refrain from reversing the mouse/stick axis.
- Go outside your home and taunt someone out on the street until they become enraged and chase you. Run back to your home and attempt to play Elite Dangerous while they are beating you around the face and ears for insulting them. Note: taunt someone close to your home, otherwise they may catch up with and assail you before you reach your computer.
- Slather your HOTAS with the personal lubricant of your choice.
- Dogfight using only melee weapons.
- Sell all your shield generators and revert to E1 pulse lasers.
- Projectile ammo just adds weight. Try loading each cannon with a single round so you can practice your headshots.
