Making money

You misunderstand.

That exploit has been found - continued use of it is what I object to.

Finding new exploits is expected and welcomed.

It might actually have been fixed already. I for one haven't been able to reproduce it. To be fair, I'm a fairly dense idiot, so I may just be doing it wrong.

Bud i feel your pain. It's a bit of a grind to get the full tilt Cobra.. but

If you stick with it and get your skills up killin' pirates in the federal bond with the free SideWinder, to the point where you can afford the Cobra and two Gimbeled Beam Lazers.. The credits role in thick & fast.

You can sell the Pulse4 Lazer on the way to kitting out with the Beam3 Gimbleled.

Half the point for me on the Alpha is building your skills for when the real deal comes our way.

Let's face it.. they wouldn't give the keys to a ship and 100 credits to some novice shmuk now would they?

It's not about it being difficult, it's about becoming a bit dull. I don't have much of a problem killing sidewinders even with the basic guns. But it gets a bit boring after a while. Plus my wrist starts hurting from the joystick.

Then there is something wrong with your joystick setup. Your wrist should not hurt if everything is setup the right way.

prolly the same invisible-mesh hanging outside the station since like forever. just fly slow and take a left outside zelada.

and make liberal use of the "kill-process" bug to earn some quick bucks.

ie. sell everything on your ship and then kill the ed process via taskmanager. rinse repeat. ever so often it is worth upgrading your sidewinder with the max money items you can afford and SAVE. then rinse repeat until you got a few 100Ks and enjoy cobra with 2 heat-seekers and gimbal pulses. or whatever fotm you want to go with :D

Where's the fun in that??

Got both my Cobras the hard way by grafting and playing the game... Good practice too, you should try it sometime, might make life more tolerable for you when the kill process bug is removed and you find yourself up against players who've had more practice and can kill you with their eyes shut (almost) ;)

Nah, it's something wrong with my wrist. It's been hurting like that with a variety of joysticks (Saitek Cyborg I think, previously, currently thrustmaster t.flight), for well over a decade. I'm old.

Me too (old that is) - it could be as simple as chair height in relation to your wrists that's the issue ?

This can cause such issues with wrist. When I have put my joystick on the table the grip was 12-13cm above it. Using it was very uncomfortable and also caused ache in the wrist so I have put a small box with a height of 5cm (about the same height as the base of my joystick) to support my elbow. And the hurting wrist problem was gone.

Woah, this actually feels... pretty good. Thanks for the tip!
