Malta DLC is the last DLC, Frontier?

Doubt it, because while I do understand where this particular question is coming from and why, specifically because the Return to Jurassic Park released during the Christmas season for JWE1 was the last DLC for that game, there was a reason why the JWE team at Frontier made the decision for that PDLC to be the last. Something that nearly everyone who mention or even full-on talk about it online like YouTube, Reddit, etc., don't ever bring up or learn about at all.

On a Newsweek interview article, published on late November of 2021, shortly after JWE2's release, the game's director Rich Newbold said around the time they finished the RTJP DLC for the first game, the JWE team moved on to explore more unique storytelling opportunities within Jurassic's universe with Universal's help in a sequel format. Meanwhile prior, on Frontier's RNS reports on their website, the game was also something they signed a contract for back in early 2019 (which wouldn't be confirmed to be JWE2 until announcement day) and was confirmed for an FY22 (June 1, 2021-May 31, 2022) release since mid-November of 2019, a statement that never changed even when Dominion delayed nearly one year later.

So, while this doesn't answer your question that I know few may bring up or think about, hopefully this would help you understand why JWE1's RTJP on released on the Christmas season was the last DLC for that game to ease out some concerns you may have.

JWE1 got roughly 1.5 years, we're at about the 1 year mark. Planet Coaster got 2.5 years, Planet Zoo has had 3 years (though the Pandemic probably shaved about 6 months off).

Content for JWE1 and Planet Coaster ended with version 1.12. Planet Zoo will be 1.12 on the 13th, JWE2 is currently version 1.6. Planet Zoo really seems like it should keep going, they introduced the fruit bat with a new type of exhibit, flighted birds is the next logical step for them.

It's not really obvious what direction they'll go for major DLCs in JWE2's future, but getting updates until December next year seems likely.
