Mamba Taxi

Finally, a valid reason to escort VIPs around in my Mamba!

Of course as soon as I outfit my Mamba with a VIP suite, I'll never see this request again. Heck, I've never seen it before! Have you?

"I wanna go somewhere dangerous, get me in and out safe"
What does he think you are, a prophylactic? Tell him to keep it zipped at home.

I told him, "No way buddy! Do you see what we're flying in right now? My other passengers will jump ship if I scratch the paint on landing, and you want to go to a COMBAT ZONE?"

Now if I were in a Mamba with a passenger suite, my answer would be, "No problem. Pick a side and we can even have some fun!"

As long as you don't pick a side, you will be ok. I would accept those type of bonus runs just to go in and scan the ships for their data until the clock ran out.

(1) I ignore passenger requests. The mission still gets completed and I still get paid.
(2) I am not sure it is even possible to equip a Mamba with a "Luxury" passenger cabin. o7

Don't spend the 60k all at once :p

Mine got all huffy when I didn't go and didn't pay full price when we docked. I was in a fairly papery Orca and had not considered the fact that I didn't HAVE to pick a side. Oh well, I'll know next time. My thought at the time was "No, lady. I'm not flying a yacht into a combat zone, are you nuts"?

Yeah I've had this one. you just park up at the zone remain neutral and after a minute he goes "OK I've seen enough let's crack on"

This. Sometimes it's not a half bad gig in terms of pay, but usually it doesn't justify itself because of an extra jump or two for a pittance of credits.

But if you like light shows, aren't in a hurry, or just enjoy RP'ing shuttling (like me!) - go for it! Got to see my second capital ship warp in on one of these early on in my flight career with my newly minted Beluga Liner. Scared the bejeebus out of me (I was still mostly E or D rated).

Did he ever recognize some strange concept called "telepresence"??? If only he'd ask, "Hey you, get off your a.. so I can watch TV!"

I thought that was what you meant by "VIP".
Oh, I see what I typed to cause the confusion. My bad. Most of these VIPs are happy with a business or first class cabin. I can fit either one in my size 5 slot and have room for most single missions.

Not that I'm actually going to do this, but part of me wants to just for the fun of it. The Mamba does feel like a yacht of sorts.
